Hello and welcome to my blog!
My name is Lucinda. I am a biology graduate, wildlife conservation advocate, ambassador for women in STEM and current President of Imperial College Union.
Upon graduating from my degree, I landed the exciting job of running a student’s union. I’ve also tried to jump on almost every opportunity that has come my way. In short, I like being busy! As cheesy and cliché as this sounds, I truly believe that every day is a blessing and it is our job to fill each moment with our interests, passions and ambitions.
A lot of my family and friends are always asking me for updates and the latest “happenings”, subsequently suggesting that I should write a blog. This blog does what it says on the tin: it aims to give all my family and friends an insight into what I am up to – documenting my life, interests and activities.
As I’ve got older, I’ve come to realise that if you want to make a difference, you have to make your voice heard. Tell people about what you do, why you do it and why it is important. Try to encourage others to do the same also. I hope that through this blog I may inspire others to make the most of their opportunities, pursue what they love and aim to make a difference to the world around them.
